RICE Consulting GmbH uses browser storage to operate this website, protect inquiry forms and remember your analytics choice.
1. Necessary session storage

The session is signed to protect against modification; signing is not encryption. Necessary storage supports the functions requested by you, under Section 25(2)(2) TDDDG. Personal-data processing follows the bases described in the Privacy Policy.
2. Your analytics choice
The browser's localStorage entry rice_analytics_consent_v1 records “granted” or “denied”. It has no automatic expiry in the application and remains until you change the choice or clear site data. This entry remembers your preference; it is not an analytics cookie.
3. Optional analytics cookies
Only after “Allow analytics” is selected does the website load Google Analytics 4.

These are Google's documented defaults; actual expiry can be affected by Analytics settings and browser restrictions. Optional storage/access relies on consent under Section 25(1) TDDDG; related personal-data processing relies on Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
The Google Analytics retention period for user-level and event-level data associated with cookies or other identifiers is set to two months. The retention period for user-level data is not reset when a user becomes active again. This server-side retention setting is separate from the cookie lifetimes shown above.
4. Form protection
Cloudflare Turnstile checks contact-form requests for automated misuse. It processes browser and connection signals separately from analytics. See the Privacy Policy and Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum for details.
5. Changing your choice
Open “Cookie settings” in the footer when analytics is configured. “Use necessary cookies only” records your refusal, disables further Analytics collection through this website and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies used by this integration. Analytics remains disabled unless you consent again.
You can also remove or block cookies and localStorage using your browser settings. Removing session storage can reset the language and unfinished form steps. Removing the consent preference makes the consent dialog appear again.
